2026 Empty Bowls - Sunday Supper Fundraiser

Guests will enjoy a delicious community supper and take home a handcrafted bowl donated by a local artist.

 Join us this October for the return of Empty Bowls, a beloved community fundraiser benefiting the Orcas Island Food Bank.

Last year's event brought together local artists, food lovers, and community members in a powerful celebration of creativity, connection, and food security. Thanks to its success, we're excited to bring Empty Bowls back October 4, 4-7 p.m. 2026 at Orcas Center!

We’re excited to welcome The Kitchen, Kingfish Inn & Restaurant and Savory Food Truck as two of the talented chefs participating in this year’s Empty Bowls Supper.  

Their participation helps bring together a variety of local culinary talent in support of the Orcas Island Food Bank and its mission to address food insecurity in our community.

 Flowers for the Empty Bowls Fundraiser are sustainably grown and donated by Tekla Farms on Orcas Rd. Tekla Farms is a regenerative flower and blueberry farm located on Orcas Island, lovingly tended by Brian and Laura Torma. A large table arrangement is designed by Orcas Island floral designer, Whitney Page using all flowers grown at Tekla. 

 We are currently seeking donations from local potters and ceramicists.

Artists are invited to donate 10–20 handmade bowls, each capable of holding approximately 2–3 cups of soup. These bowls will be featured during the event and taken home by attendees, highlighting the artistry and generosity of our island's creative community.

When pledging your bowls, please include:

• The number of bowls you plan to donate 
• An estimated value for each bowl 

All pottery donations are tax-deductible.

We kindly ask that bowls be delivered or available for pickup by October 1, 2026, to allow time for preparation and display.
